ILIGAN CITY – HOME OF TITA FANNIES LIEMPO AND CHICKEN HAUS

Known for its crispiest and tastiest liempo, Tita Fannies has its humble beginning. The Onque family managed to utilize a 100 square meter area in putting up a restaurant. Using low cost native materials like bamboo furniture and nipa hut, Tita Fannies Chicken and Liempo Haus was finally launched on November 18, 1999 at Zamora St., Poblacion, Iligan City.

“We wanted Iligan City to have its mark in the food industry” recalls Mrs. Nilda Onque.

The family then had a very great idea of offering liempo and lechon manok in town. These were the main products that captured the taste of the Iliganons who kept coming back for more. Satisfied customers served as the company’s major promotional medium; the impact of which was beyond expectation. Since then, a growing number of happy customers encouraged the family members to continue the business.

Tita Fannies has its name derived from Aunt Fanny as Mr. and Mrs. Onque’s children enjoyed calling her as Tita Fanny. With a captivating music chant advertised through the radio, people can easily remember Tita Fannnies that made it a household byword.

“We are proud to claim that we are the first in the country to offer liempo with unparalleled taste,” Mr. Japhet Onque, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Onque expressed.

“Aside from offering the house specialty products, we also want to offer other exquisite Filipino Cuisine and welcome customers into a restaurant with a unique Filipino ambiance.” Mrs. Onque added.

Over the years, Tita Fannies Liempo and Chicken Haus has consistently provided customer satisfaction. With overwhelming demand from the customers, the family expanded their business by opening branches in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City. Just recently, Tita Fannies opened at Consunji St., just beside the Gaisano Mall of Iligan. Part of their growth strategy is to engage into franchising whereby interested entrepreneurs are granted the right to make Tita Fannies their business.
