Welcome to the Industrial Center of Northern Mindanao and the City of Waterfalls – ILIGAN CITY.

The Pinoy Big Brother Season 4 audition held at St. Michael’s College for instance was very successful. It was attended by at most 2,500 hopefuls from various places in Mindanao. Another was GMA 7’s Weekend Getaway Travel Show in which the host Drew Arellano and staff did an immersion with our Muslim brothers. Added to it is ABS-CBN’s movie entitled Forever and A Day which showcased Tinago Falls and other places here in Iligan.

As the city of waterfalls, one would surely be mesmerized with the beauty of nature. God must have blessed the city with over 23 breathtaking waterfalls. If you are an adventurer, these would surely captivate you. There are also swimming pools to freshen you up.

To keep you entertained, live bands await you during the night and a "mini Divisoria” at the plaza is equally enticing where you can buy various stuffs at very affordable prices.  The city also takes pride in its annual celebration of Diyandi Festival, a colorful festive every September including street dancing competition, Search for Miss Iligan, and most importantly the feast of Saint Michael the Archangel.  

 Be amazed as well with Gapnud Collections’ work of art using driftwoods to make home furniture. The craft is undeniably exotic that will create great ambiance in your home because of its elegance.

ILIGAN CITY – HOME OF TITA FANNIES LIEMPO AND CHICKEN HAUS

Known for its crispiest and tastiest liempo, Tita Fannies has its humble beginning. The Onque family managed to utilize a 100 square meter area in putting up a restaurant. Using low cost native materials like bamboo furniture and nipa hut, Tita Fannies Chicken and Liempo Haus was finally launched on November 18, 1999 at Zamora St., Poblacion, Iligan City. “We wanted Iligan City to have its mark in the food industry” recalls Mrs. Nilda Onque. MARIA CRISTINA FALLS | ILIGAN | THE CITY OF WATERFALLS

Located in Lanao del Norte, Philippines , Iligan City takes pride to house 23 waterfalls,  one of which is the ever majestic Maria Cristina Falls -  the main outlet of the  country's largest freshwater lake - the  Great Lake Lanao.
