Boardwalk Business Ventures, Inc. gives assistance to Sendong Victims in Iligan

Iligan City -  Boardwalk, one of the country’s top providers of apparels gave brand new clothings to Sendong victims at Barangays Tambo and Hinaplanon on Wednesday, January 10, 2012. Mr. Lloyd A. Magallanes, Manager in CDO Branch personally handed the clothes to the victims. Joining him was his staff, a member of Iligan Bloggers Society and a student of MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology .

They started distributing packed clothes at the Tent City Evacuation Center.  The CSWD coordinator called the evacuees to fall in line with their green cards. She then marked it with BW for control measures.  People got excited to receive new clothes after most if not all of their belongings were damaged due to flashfloods. They immediately opened the package and tried fitting it. Their smiles were more vivid when they finally fit it well, thanking the donors for sharing new clothes.

While waiting for the taxi, a good-hearted policeman SPO3 Liberato Canibel offered a free ride with his car heading towards Brgy. Hinaplanon where the broken bridge is located.

With a very short notice, people spread the message to their neighbours of a relief operation. They easily followed a two-line arrangement and gladly received the new clothes.

Thanks to the Boardwalk Business Ventures for the relief goods.
