3rd Iligan Business Night A Success


The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan, Inc. hosted the 3rd Iligan Business Night on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Z Restaurant/Bar, Tibanga. It’s a soiree of the entrepreneurs and representatives of companies within the city. Get an Instant Access for your Business defined the theme of the event.
“We wanted to organize activities like this for the entrepreneurs to mingle and learn from each other. This allows everyone to easily get an access on how to make their businesses more progressive by sharing of ideas and even other resources,” Mrs. Emily Pascua, President of the Iligan Chamber.

Iligan DTI Chief of Business Development Division Mr. Jaime Paalisco led the induction of officers for the Iligan Travel and Tours Association as well as the Health and Wellness Association. These are the newly formed sectors of the Iligan Chamber to facilitate business related activities for the city and its constituentss’ welfare.
The facilitator gave everyone a piece of a coated chocolate and those who pick the same color will form a group, create a business idea and explain its impact to the community. Orange Ventures Company, Evergreen Business Ventures, Think Green Company, Impact, Plastica and Quantum Science were the business names conceptualized by the participants. Think Green Company won the contest as having a green cab – an electric powered vehicle will be a replacement for taxi. This will have a great impact to the environment specially in lessening the devastating effects of global warming.

The Iligan Chamber of Commerce took pride as they shared their annual report – an emblem of the organization’s success the previous year. Mrs. Pascua thanked everyone for their continued support and cited the chamber’s goal which is leading the business forward, towards a more progressive and more competitive Iligan.

The gathering went on with a fellowship as everyone enjoyed the sumptuous dinner and revitalizing wine and liquor. -RSC-

Known for its crispiest and tastiest liempo, Tita Fannies has its humble beginning. The Onque family managed to utilize a 100 square meter area in putting up a restaurant.
