MSU-IIT | Palakasan 2012 | Winners of Street Dancing Competition



MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology - The announcement of winners of the Street Dancing Competition was finally made during the Awards Night on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the gymnasium. Students of the winning schools/colleges took pride as they received their much coveted award. Congratulations to the following schools/colleges who made it to the top 3. 


College of Education & Integrated Developmental School
CHAMPION
The Himag-ulaw Festival originates from Placer, Masbate. It is a celebration for 
the bountiful harvest in farming and the abundance of fish. 




SCHOOL OF COMPUTER STUDIES
1st Runner-Up

Lubi-lubi Festival is a celebration in Glan, Sarangani, Mindanao. It is celebrated every 8th of October in honor to Sta. Catalina de Alexandria and a thanksgiving for an abundant harvest of coconut in the said place.  



COLLEGE OF NURSING
2nd Runner-Up

The Pintaflores Festival is a celebration held every year at San Carlos, Negros Occidental every 5th of November. 




It can be noted that last year's winners were the School of Computer Studies, College of Engineering and College of Education. 

Next year will be another showcase of Philippines Festivals and would love to witness Masskara Festival, Higantes Festival and Kadayawan Festival. Good luck to all schools and colleges. :-)
