Initao’s Best-kept Secret: SJ and Tellights Overview

Initao is well known for its White Beach Resorts and verdant forests; to wit, Midway Beach Resort and Lasang Adventure Park. These are the two attractions most frequented by locals and tourists alike. Unknown to many, there’s a wonderful place situated on a mountain, just perfect for rest, relaxation and recreation.
My beloved readers, I gladly welcome you all to SJ and Tellights Overview. It is located at Barangay Pagahan, Initao, Misamis Oriental, Mindanao, Philippines.
 
SJ and Tellights welcomes visitors to its lush surroundings of trees, flowers and green grasses. Upon reaching the peak of the resort is a refreshing scenery of a vast ocean, a beautiful landscape and a clear sky. All you can say is WOW!!! What an awesome place!!! The fresh air you breathe and cold wind touching your skin make you feel good inside and all you have to do is take a seat on its white-painted steel chairs and just relax, enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature. When I was at 1:00pm, all I ever wanted was to sleep, just sleep and sleep. :D But I had limited time, so I just took a nap on a chair, and WOW, it was good enough. I would bring a mat next time and take a rest there, do some picnics and read some books.


SJ and Tellights also has a function hall perfect for wedding ceremonies, birthday parties and even seminars. The color combinations of the elements in the hall are pleasing to the eyes. I love the whole design of the hall which is artistic enough that you would not think it is a function hall.





The resort also brings entertainment through its videoke house. You just have to insert a 5 peso coin good for two songs already.
What I love most about the resort is that there is no entrance fee and no pressures for a minimum amount of food/snacks to take. A budget saver indeed :D

GETTING THERE:

From Iligan City

Ride a bus heading to Cagayan de Oro City and tell the bus conductor that you will alight at Initao Public Market – the main jump off point to SJ and Tellights Overview. From there, you can hire a motorcycle driver going to the resort. There is also an option of dropping by immediately at Barangay Pagahan. I suggest that you contact Mr. Galarpe (motorcycle driver) so he could fetch you at the intersection point.

From Cagayan de Oro City

Ride a bus going to Iligan City and tell the bus conductor that you will alight at Initao Public Market – the main jump off point to SJ and Tellights Overview. From there, you can hire a motorcycle driver going to the resort. You can also ride a jeepney from the terminal to Barangay Pagahan.
