IBS visits Luinab Evacuation Center


Iligan Bloggers Society, Incorporated, the initiator of the One For Iligan campaign started visiting Luinab Elementary School on Monday night. The group handed 300 packed foods to the coordinators and distribution for the victims followed. The evacuation center is occupied by approximately 200 families with over 600 dependents.

A 27-day old baby caught our attention as we entered one of the 19 classrooms in the evacuation center. Her mother shared that she wrapped the baby with shirt and managed to lift her as high as she could until they were able to seek refuge.

As the group went on to explore, evacuees shared their needs for underwears, mats, blankets, toiletries and medicines.
